Wisconsin-Alabama picked for Big Noon Kickoff on FOX…

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin’s Sept. 14 home game against Alabama is one of the premier match-ups of the 2024 college football schedule, and has been selected for a television platform to match. The Badgers and Crimson Tide will kick off at 11 a.m. (CT) on FOX as part of the network’s Big Noon Kickoff.

Wisconsin will be making its sixth appearance on Big Noon Kickoff since the series debuted in 2019. Camp Randall will play host to FOX’s feature game for the first time since a pair of home games against Penn State and Michigan during the 2021 season.

The 2024 match-up is the first of a home-and-home series with Alabama. Next season, the Badgers will travel to Tuscaloosa and Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sept. 13, 2025.

When Alabama comes to Madison in 2024, it will mark just the fourth time an SEC team has played at Camp Randall Stadium and the first since 1971, when LSU defeated the Badgers, 38-28. The other two SEC games at Camp Randall were played in 1928 (15-0 win over Alabama) and 1931 (7-7 tie vs. Auburn).

For Alabama, this marks the school’s first road game at a Big Ten opponent since claiming a 27-11 win at Penn State in 2011.

UW has faced the Crimson Tide just twice in the storied history of the two programs. The first meeting was a 15-0 Badgers victory at Camp Randall Stadium on Nov. 3, 1928. The two teams also squared off to open the 2015 season, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with Alabama prevailing, 35-17. The two teams have never met in Tuscaloosa.

With ticket interest extremely high for Wisconsin’s meeting with Alabama, fans can guarantee seats for the game by purchasing season tickets when they go on-sale on May 22. Call the UW Athletics Ticket Office at (608) 262-1440 or submit an interest form now for more information.
