No 1 Rank 2025 Five-star Guard From Chicago Commits To Vols Lady’s Today…
As first reported by Inside Carolina, the UNC women’s basketball program is scheduled to host two five-star talents from the Class of 2025 for official visits.
Destiny Jackson, a 5-foot-6 point guard from Chicago, Illinois, has scheduled a visit to Chapel Hill from June 17-19. Jackson currently ranks as the No. 25 overall player in the Class of 2025 (according to HoopGurlz).
The other expected visitor is Nyla Brooks, a dynamic 6-foot-1 wing from Alexandria, Virginia. Brooks, the No. 15 ranked player in HoopGurlz’s Class of 2025 rankings, was originally committed to Tennesee before reopening her recruitment back on April 2.
With Lanie Grant reclassifying into the Class of 2024, the UNC women’s basketball program currently doesn’t have any committed players within the Class of 2025. However, there is still plenty of time in this recruiting cycle for Banghart and her staff to make some noise, as the Tar Heels have been heavily active in recruiting some of the top remaining talent on the board.
To put it into perspective: only two of the top 10 ranked players in the class are currently committed. That alone goes to show you that there’s plenty of time for the UNC women’s basketball program to strike.
