A Message for Steelers Supporters from Joey Porter Jr.Joey Porter Jr. - Pittsburgh Steelers Cornerback - ESPN
Pittsburgh Steelers fans, in Joey Porter Jr.’s opinion, haven’t seen everything he is capable of.  Pittsburgh After a stellar rookie campaign in the NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2023, setting the stage for a great professional football career.

However, Porter feels he hasn’t reached his full potential and isn’t content with where he is at the moment. In an Instagram post to Steelers supporters this week, he said, “Y’all ain’t seen nothing yet,” and that he’s “Just getting started.”
Porter, the 32nd overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, finished his rookie season having started 11 of the 17 games and totaled 43 tackles, 10 passes defended, an interception, and a tackle for loss. After emerging as the Steelers’ standout starting cornerback in the latter stages of the regular season and the postseason, he placed sixth in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.
Porter intends to capitalize on his exceptional rookie campaign and assist the Steelers in reaching new heights in 2024.

ESPN Projects Cowboys and Steelers Trade One insider thinks the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers might make a trade.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have options with their first-round pick and as the NFL Draft gets closer, it appears more and more experts expect them to move backward from 20.

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell created a prediction where the Steelers and Dallas Cowboys make a trade during draft night, moving Pittsburgh back from pick No. 20 to No. 24, while also receving picks 87 (third-round) and 174 (fifth-round). They give up pick 20 and 119 (fourth-round).

The Steelers would likely prefer to add a tackle over a guard if they were to sign another offensive lineman. A year ago, this was not a deep club, and it seems as though those days are behind them. There used to be homegrown talent ready to break through at every level of the squad. If Pittsburgh made this trade, Mike Tomlin’s club would have five picks in the top 100, and I’d want to see them add more depth across the board in the draft,” Barnwell says.
The Steelers now have three viable possibilities, since there have been rumors of trades involving the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals. With everyone apparently believing Pittsburgh is going to retreat, these trades could make sense.

With the 24th pick, Pittsburgh may go after a center or an offensive lineman, and by the time that pick arrives, they should have options at both positions. If all of their alternatives are open, it makes sense for the Steelers to go back from 20, and dropping just four positions might be a move to consider.
